Why Beyond the Fold?
The use of newspaper terminology “below the fold” to websites has always baffled me. Below the fold refers to the hidden content on the lower half of a broadsheet newspaper.
In web design, it is the stuff that you must scroll down to reach. And with websites viewed more often on mobile phones and smaller screens, you need to scroll! So, Beyond the Fold* aims to bring to your attention interesting information you may not be aware of.
* I would have called it Below the Fold, but another newsletter has already taken this!
