A truly invaluable resource, the Sitepoint HTML, CSS and Javascript guide is my go-to code reference. It provides comprehensive documentation on each specification, with useful examples and the chance for user contributions. What I particularly like are the browser compatibility notes – as well as giving an overview of browser support, they provide detailed explanations of how different properties and elements actually behave in troublesome browsers!
