A link is a word, group of words, or image that you can click on to jump to a new document or a new section within the current document. w3schools.com. Links guide us around the internet, be it by clicking on a search result in Google or navigating around a website.

How often have you come across the words “click here” whilst surfing the web? And how often have you been drawn to these words and followed the instruction, only to hit the back button because the link didn’t lead you where you wanted to go? Just think of the opportunities you could miss if your visitors can’t find any way to contact you. Giving them a point of contact is valuable in creating a positive user experience and speaks volumes about your business in terms of its customer service. Make it easy to connect with you and your visitors will know you are willing to engage with them.

How?

Visitors will arrive at your site on various pages, so try and include a link to your contact information on every page. Put it in the main navigation and / or the site footer and make sure it is clear. Even if you don’t want to use a contact form, be sure to include an email address or telephone number where visitors can get in touch.
